Orlando Health launches Space Coast healthcare pathways for students
Rockledge, Fla. — Two Orlando Health education programs are inviting high school juniors and seniors to explore healthcare careers on Florida’s Space Coast this June.
The 2026 Summer High School Healthcare Pathway Program is hosted by Orlando Health Melbourne Hospital and Orlando Health Sebastian River Hospital. The one-day sessions run from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on June 1 at Orlando Health Sebastian River Hospital, and June 2 at Orlando Health Melbourne Hospital. The program provides a behind-the-scenes look at careers including nursing, radiology, respiratory care, surgical technology, phlebotomy and more. Space is limited and registration closes May 15, with attendees able to pick either location.
Participants will hear from healthcare professionals, explore real-world hospital environments, learn about clinical and non-clinical career pathways and have the opportunity to ask questions and build connections.
A separate two-day Healthcare Pathway Summer Program is also offered. It is free and open to high school students entering their junior or senior year. The two-day program runs Monday, June 1, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Orlando Health Sebastian River Hospital, located at 13695 U.S. Highway 1 in Sebastian, and Tuesday, June 2, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Orlando Health Melbourne Hospital, located at 250 N. Wickham Rd. in Melbourne. The program covers careers in nursing, radiology, respiratory care, surgical technology, phlebotomy and more, and explains how to leverage Orlando Health’s Preferred Education Program, tuition reimbursement and student-loan repayment programs to pursue a degree debt-free. Registration is open through May 15 or until space is filled via a QR code, and more information is available by emailing Eliana Samboni.
Educators, counselors, parents and community partners are encouraged to share these opportunities to help inspire the next generation of healthcare leaders.
